It is the single most important thing for a viable community. Milwaukie does a good job with all their outreach activities. Having moved 13 times in my military career I have some perspective here.  However, we can always improve by making our boards, committees, commissions, and citizen advisory groups more equitable and inclusive. We need to encourage and welcome new participants from both our current residents and newcomers.
